RoR24 - Paddock & Garage Plan Published
With just a couple of days to go, we’re delighted to share with you both the Paddock Plan and Garage Plan.
Due to the volume of cars and people attending the circuit, there will be strictly controlled paddock management in place ahead of the event.
Some key points that you must note before arriving at the event are:
The paddock plan has been designed to prioritise race cars, working vehicles and motorhomes, all of which have been allocated specific areas.
Please arrange to bring the minimum of vehicles with your race car.
Unless it is your only tow vehicle, personal cars, vans, pickups etc (whether belonging to racing drivers or not) will not be permitted to park on any of the tarmac areas of the main paddock, and they must be parked in the allocated areas or away from the main paddock.
For ClubSport Trophy entrants, please be mindful that an awning, a van and a trailer can take up space for 4 cars, so please minimize the space you’re using as much as possible to allow room for your fellow racers.
Please move trailers into the areas allocated on the paddock plan.
There are some teams who have been allocated paddock space and will be running their operations from behind the pit garages, so you must leave them space to do so safely. These teams are highlighted in green.
The remaining areas behind the pit garages are for working vehicles only, and each team operating from the pit garages must ensure that their support vehicles fit fully inside the allocated area behind their own garage. If anything encroaches into another team’s allocated area, you will be instructed to move it.
There will be a paddock team (including Mission Motorsport beneficiaries) managing the paddock from the start of the week. Please respect them and their instructions. Failure to follow any instructions given will result in a referral to the Clerk of the Course.
At previous events, the paddock has been severely congested, not because of race cars and equipment but by the numerous personal vehicles and trailers parked in random places for the duration of the event. This creates real issues in terms of managing the event safely, and we ask for your understanding and compliance to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event.
