RACE OF REMEMBRANCE
Throughout the 8–9th November 2025 Remembrance weekend, Race of Remembrance offers a powerful opportunity for those who wish to join us in paying tribute to those we have lost in conflict—be it a family member, loved one, or friend— and to stand in support of those who remain but have sacrificed so much. Recently recognised as Motorsport UK’s 2024 Event of the Year, Race of Remembrance reflects the very best of what motorsport can be: supportive, compassionate, and enormous fun.
Coming together as one community, whether motorsport focussed or not, Mission Motorsport invites you to take on challenges or activities that will not only help you commemorate the weekend in your own way but help the charity to raise much-needed funds. You don’t even need to be a race driver to participate!
A variety of ways to Participate
The Race of Remembrance weekend incorporates a range of activities, meaning you can participate as much or as little as you want to. Click on the images to find out more about the different activities.
The Service
Unique to RoR, all activities taking place on Remembrance Sunday are paused at 10:45 on Sunday for competitors, pit crews, marshals, staff, and supporters to come together as one in a special pitlane service of remembrance.
Led by a Military Padre, readings are read by injured personnel, hymns sung by a military wives choir, and a poignant recital of The Last Post is performed by a veteran bugler.
The first minute of the silence is about remembering the fallen, those who have gone before us and paid the ultimate price; but the second is to think about those who remain, who have given so much and who live on and need our support.
For some, Remembrance weekend can be extremely difficult, but by coming together we can support one another. For all taking part, it is the most poignant and important part of the weekend.
By live-streaming the service, we are enabling anybody, wherever they may be, to be a part of the Pitlane Service. The half an hour service will be accessible across a variety of different platforms, and as is traditional, all RoR activity that falls on a Sunday, it will be paused.

RoR at Anglesey 2025
Held over the Remembrance weekend, Race of Remembrance was established by Mission Motorsport alongside the wider racing community and the wounded servicemen and women who use the sport that we love as a crutch to aid in their recovery.
Beginning on the Saturday, the 12 hour endurance race runs into the night, pausing for a Remembrance Service on Sunday Morning. The race is open to a wide range of racing cars based on road car designs, the main regulations stipulating a 2-litre engine capacity limit and the use of
street-legal tyres. Competitors typically span a range from Caterhams to Citroen C1s with Lotus Elises and Mazda MX-5s also proving very popular
A special invitation class also enables cars you’d not normally expect to see racing to take part, such as a four-wheel drive, diesel-powered Honda CR-V sports utility vehicle.
Industry partners such as Mazda, Honda and JLR have kindly supported previous races. In 2021, Morgan provided what is believed to be the first Plus Four adapted with hand controls.
RoR Karting
Held on Remembrance Sunday, Race of Remembrance Karting is now a firm favourite in the ROR timetable of events.
18 teams made up of Serving Personnel, Veterans, motorsport fans and anybody else, will battle it out in an attempt to become the next RoR Karting champion at the fabulous Hampshire-based Thruxton Karting Centre.

Beginning on Sunday morning , the 2 hour endurance race pauses for a Remembrance Service at 11:00 in the pitlane. Open to all to attend, it is the Race of Remembrance Service in the South.
Participants are asked to fundraise a minimum of £100 in addition to the entry fee with all money donated to Mission Motorsport, The Forces Charity and its work with those affected by military operations.
For those who may not have an interest in racing, but would still like to be a part of the weekend’s activities, there are many different ways in which you can get involved.

Mission Motorsport, The Forces’Motorsport Charity was founded in 2012 in order to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations by providing opportunities through Motorsport and the Automotive Industry.
Since 2012, the charity has engaged with over 2040+ Wounded, Injured and Sick (WIS) Service Leavers providing over 900 events providing sporting output; assisted 300+ WIS and over 2,000 service leavers find sustainable paid employment.
The Mission Motorsport Beneficiaries
Many new as well as more seasoned beneficiaries will be taking part and will fulfill a variety of roles; from mechanics, support staff, logisticians, photographers to drivers, all will be fully supported and play a key part in the weekend.
